Size does matter

Buying shoes online is not as simple as it appears to be. Of course, we understand where the confusion is coming from. Different countries come with different ways of sizing. In the US, their shoe size starts from US5 and then, there's the half number like the US5.5. If you're in Europe, the number is bigger. Normally starts with 36, but if you're lucky, you'll get to see size 35 that caters for petite feet. And UK, although listed as part of Europe, comes with smallest sets that start with the number 2.5 and the Korean's come with 3 digits number which is measured by millimeters or also known as a Mondopoint. And then, there the Malaysian size, where they measured their size by the famous shoe brand called VINCCI that starts with VINCCI4 (lets just put is as V4). Confuse much? Dont be.

Here's a simple tip in knowing your size.

Click on the image for a larger scale table.

Brands like Ted Baker and Aldo carry the Europe size while Nine West and Guess carry the US size.It helps if you own a pair in any of the international brands as you can just flip your shoes and refer it from there.

What's a Mondopoint?
"The Mondopoint system is the same as measuring the foot (not the shoe) in Millimeters (or Millimetres, mm.). However, some companies treat Mondopoint as Centimeters (Centimetres, cm.). So a shoe may be labeled either 240 (mm) or 24 (cm) if it is designed for a foot that is 240 millimeters long (including some wiggle room for socks). You may see mondopoint sizes with two numbers separated by a slash, e.g. 240/95. The second number is the width of the foot in millimeters. " The Korean and Japanese use this system.

Although due to wide variations among shoe measurement systems, relying solely on this table is not sufficient to guarantee everyone's happiness. We suggest if you're still uncertain of your size, do request for measurement in centimeters/millimeter that counted from the toe to the heel of the sole so you can measure it with the longest part of your toe to your heel. That way, you'll know for sure. Good luck and happy shopping. :D
